One thing that sets my work apart is the charging of a flat, hourly fee. Another thing is the almost self-defeating lowness of this rate compared to the industry standard for an SEO with my level of experience (and including web design and AdWords under that same hourly rate umbrella). No start-up fees and no set contract is needed, because I don't like paying any of that myself. Right now, this method of payment makes my accounting and billing easy, which I like.
Hourly billing does come with a need for time estimates, and I will provide them to the best of my ability, but I feel my affordable rate should keep you from sweating too much if we go at all over that estimate. We can also agree on a definite cap to my hours by month, or almost any other flexible arrangement. If you'd like to talk about payment on a per-project basis, it is an option as well.
To provide a solution right for the diverse needs of small businesses, I offer three packages:
Perfect for helping your existing marketing team, advising at the early stage of a site development or re-development, creating a strategy to move into new platforms or expand to new customers, or to train someone in-house as an SEO / AdWords / Social Media manager.
Sometimes the right piece of advice at the right time can save a business months of headaches and thousands of dollars. There are areas in which I am very experienced in offering that kind of advice. I've been called on to consult on SEO concerns for developing websites, on training someone in-house to carry out a Social Media strategy, on developing Video Promotion and content creation plans, on intelligent approaches to AdWords for sites having thousands of products, and on local business promotion plans. I can also advise on choosing an e-commerce platform, on whether or not an expensive service being marketed to you as a business owner is really worth your investment, and on anything about the changing nature of the web.
A consulting relationship doesn't mean I won't get my hands dirty. For my consulting clients, I regularly will make quick edits to a page or script, do keyword research, and make actionable analyses out of historical or current data.
Perfect for businesses who want a fully-managed and strong SEO and AdWords campaign.
Like hiring a handful of digital marketing experts who know how to work together really, really well (because they're the same person).
This is enough time for me to undertake a concerted SEO effort and launch and maintain an AdWords campaign. More importantly, this means I can suggest, plan, complete, and maintain a series of focused projects for your business. You can count on a weekly phone call or in-person meeting, e-mail responses to any questions within 24 hours, monthly metrics to determine how well every one of my efforts are doing, a shared task management board where you can see what I'm working on and how much time I think it will take, and a general responsibility for and involvement with everything digital in your business. I will provide detailed reporting and generate a host of suggestions each month to make things better. I'm also able to make significant improvements to your website when needed.
A typical break down of time for a client at the service level may include:
Contact me for rates, along with a more specific list of deliverables for your business at this level.
Ideal for businesses that have an existing AdWords campaign, or need to be found on the web immediately. All budgets can be worked with.
Though it does come with ongoing advertising costs, getting an effective Google AdWords campaign established can be the fastest and even most affordable way to establish your business online. I typically manage over $25,000 of AdWords spend for clients per month and combine experience withsoftware to make managing an AdWords account efficient. We can commit to a small number of hours or a fixed fee per month to keep you AdWords account not just up-and-running, but constantly improving with bid adjustments, fresh ad formats, refined keywords, and topic expansion.
Going Green? Even with my rates as low as they are, if you're a company involved in something proven to be positive for the world, I'll try my hardest to discount things a little further. Even if your company can't do anything major, helping your employees work from home, encouraging local commerce, or looking for some opportunity to be a little more responsible is something I admire and want to reward. I'd rather pass an actual healthy planet Earth to my kids than a series of blu-ray documentaries about the one we ruined. If you're making an effort like this, let me know! I do my best to bike and bus to meetings for this exact reason, and I host this site and others on wind-powered servers.
